problem with Guest Additions Ubuntu 8.10/Vista SP1

Hello.
I have Ubuntu 8.10 on Vista SP1
my VB version is 2.0.2
When I trying to install guest additions it shows error - cannot find the autorun program.I try to install manually ,but seamless mode still didnt work.
????

You try to install with what result?

Post exact approach, input and output, error messages.

I did try manualy again ,now its ask me about admin status.
trying with sudo ...

I install Guest additions but my seamless mode still unavailable.

Lots of posts about this. Search on the forum. The problem is because xorg.conf does not specify the driver to use. Once you fix that, everything will work fine on Ubuntu 8.10.

I did this

1) sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
2) look for the section called "Configured video Device"
3) add the line: Driver "vboxvideo"
4) look for the section called "Configured Mouse"
5) add the line: Driver "vboxmouse"
6) save the file

it works.
