Intel drivers for SATA and LAN controllers (please sticky)

Postby khodos » 23. May 2008, 00:56

Hi,

I used these links for driver integration with nlite to allow me install XP in SATA HDD's and use host Interface (you must use Intel PRO1000 Network Interface to make host interface work at version 1.6.0)

LAN: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product ... ductID=871

install the file in an existing XP or uncompress it and integrate in nlite the PRO1000 drivers (the inf files)

SATA:http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=1809&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go!

Download the floppy file. Extract the content with magicISO and integrate the inf files with nlite

The other one file allows you to install SATA devices on an existing XP

Didn't work for me

Postby EneergE » 26. May 2008, 11:57

Like you, I've installed an nLited XP installation as guest. However, whenever I try to install that Intel driver you have listed here, it says that no supported hardware is installed. Because of this I do not have network access.

Do you or anyone else know of another driver I might could try using?

P.S. I've tried using my NIC card's original drivers, but that didn't work either.

The driver that is listed in this topic just works with the Intel emulated card. If you didn't set that card in the network settings of the VM, then do so. Else you have the PCNet adapter, and you probably removed the LAN adapter drivers using nLite.
