Ultra slow network transfers

Hello,

I've been using Virtualbox for a while, but I just got aware recently that my network transfers were very slow when my VM is opened. This behavior happens when I set the virtual network adapter to "Bridged Adapter".

When I set it to "NAT", after a while, it is the VM that is very slow. The HD light is lit in red when it happens, I have to reboot (the VM) to make it usable.

Someone ever met this problem and fixed it?

My VM is Windows 7 on a Windows 7 computer.
