ProcessorID not available creates Licensing Issue

Post by gabster2 »

I have a software that requires the ProcessorID number (16 characters) to be on any PC that is to be using this software for licensing purpose.
Now I know I am not the only one with this issue but was wondering if VirtualBox is ever going to allow Processor's to be available in the Device Manager and also have its processorID number show up for this purpose.
On my host I have it working fine. I also have it working with VMware as well as Virtual PC 2007.

Is this something that anyione has ever reported?

As of right now, my development with VirtualBox is at a stand still since this is the key software I am involved with and there is currently no way around this problem.

Any input into this issue would be greatly appreciated.
So far, this is my only issue, VirtualBox is a much superior Virtualization software than those 2 I am currently using.

Thanks you in advance.

It's best to create an enhancement request on our bug tracker. I assume the two screenshots are from the application in question.

Thank you for your fast reply sandervl. The last immage is from VirtualBox, the other 2 are from VMware. Hope this is not a hard one to fix.
